A limited edition giclee print of just 850 copies. Taken from the original oil painting, it depicts the brave young men of 603 (City of Edinburgh) Squadron taking a much earned break between operational sorties and fighter sweeps in the late summer of 1940 at RAF Hornchurch. Flying Officer Richard Hilary relaxes in the warm sunshine, listening to the gramophone and chatting with fellow Spitfire pilots about the last engagement with the enemy, as the crackle of a departing Spitfire's Merlin roars overhead.

The print is supplied unmounted and individually signed and numbered by the artist. Each print is accompanied by a matching numbered Certificate of Authenicity and limited to a single edition of 850 copies.

This high quality print is produced on 483mm x 329mm (19" x 13") Pinnacle Velvet Fine Art 275gsm natural white paper, mould made, acid free and 25% cotton. The archival quality paper is acid and lignin free, meeting the highest industry standards. Printed using genuine Canon Lucia PRO pigment ink, providing excellent colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness.
