A limited edition giclee print taken from the original oil painting "Op's on Tonight", it depicts Avro Lancaster B3 of 97 Squadron, RAF Bourn, 'J for Johnny' is being prepared by her dedicated groundcrew in preparation for the night's bombing mission deep into enemy territory. A David Brown tractor tug gently manoeuvres a 12,000lb high capacity bomb ready for loading into the Lancaster's bomb bay. JB659 was lost on the night of 30th January 1944 at Zwanenburg, Holland after a bombing raid on Berlin, with the loss of all of her crew.
With an overall edition of 850 prints and printed on 225gsm Somerset Velvet heavyweight acid free, archival quality paper, the print image measures approximately 595mm x 390mm. Each print is accompanied by a matchinmg numbered Certificate of Authenticity, individually signed by the artist.
