Pierre Henri Clostermann joined the Free French Air Force in Britain in 1942, going on to score 33 recorded victories and earning the accolade "France's First Fighter" from General Charles de Gaulle. Clostermann joined 602 Squadron in October 1943, remaining with the unit for 10 months.
